Northwick Park Hospital’s League of Friends offered the hospital a real scoop when they raised more than £1,800 for equipment to move patients who have fallen and may have a suspected fracture or spinal injury.
Getting help to the patient is not always straightforward and having a stretcher that can be taken apart in confined areas will often make an essential difference.
The two scoop stretchers will be available to all wards and departments in the hospital.
